To revise the taxonomy of Chydoridae (Anomopoda) in Australia.
To produce pictorial keys to species, and also provide keys for head shields and postabdomens - parts which commonly occur in sediments and are useful for palaeolimnological studies.
To expand the known biogeography of Chydoridae.
To improve the current knowledge of the ecology of Chydoridae in Australia.
