Aims:
To determine how abiotic disturbance affects the impact of predation in stream communities.
To determine how flow variability might modify the importance of predation as a community shaping process in streams by studying the effects of floods on the density and behaviour of predators and their prey, and by measuring predator impacts in stable versus variable flow environments.
