AWA ACT Water: Shreya Gyawali nominated Young Water Professional of the Year

The 2025 Australian Water Association ACT Water Awards is tonight (27 February 2025), and we are excited that one of our people has been nominated for the Young Water Professional of the Year Award.

Shreya Gyawali, Senior Program Officer at the Australian Water Partnership, is one of our strongest advocates for Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) within the Australian Water Partnership and the wider organisation of eWater Group.

Her nomination is recognition of leadership on the intersections of GEDSI and water security, and her dedication to championing climate resilience water solutions that create healthier communities, more sustainable livelihoods and build resilience to future challenges.

Sarah Ransom, General Manager of the Australian Water Partnership, said, “Shreya is diplomatic, thoughtful and shows leadership every day in her work with AWP. She has shown an ability to acquire new knowledge and skills throughout her work, adding value across AWP’s partnerships and programs. Shreya is also a considerate and supportive colleague, and we count ourselves lucky to have her on the team.”

We want to congratulate Shreya on her nomination and the other Young Water Professional nominees ahead of the awards dinner this week and wish her the best of luck.

The Australian Water Partnership is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and managed by eWater Group.
