We wanted to inform our user community and wider network that eWater Source Beta 5.51 is now available user for testing
Our hydrology and software development business, eWater Solutions, continue to make strides to improve the user experience and our products, eWater Source and eWater MUSIC.
This latest Source update is the result of our teams working closely with our user community to understand what they need which has resulted in us develop better pathways to enhance their experience when using Source.
This latest release introduces several enhancements, new features, and bug fixes, including:
- New Recorder: A “Farm Dam Surface Area” recorder has been added to the “Onstream Farm Dam” node.
- Irrigator Demand Model Fix: Resolved an issue affecting fluctuating requirements or orders where different maximum and minimum travel times were set.
- Environmental Flow Node Update: The legacy Environmental Flow Node logic has been replaced with the new Spell Observer logic. Users are encouraged to configure the Spell Observer for EF Actions, as the old EFN logic will be phased out soon.
- Enhanced Environmental Flow Node Functionality: Users can now specify the volume of water debited to the EFN using a function, either at the node level or action level, if the actions share the same portfolio configuration.
- Results Manager Improvements:
- Consistency improvements across charts, tables, data, and statistics. Table data and statistics will now reflect only the zoomed portion of the chart.
- NetCDF export files now include a unique ID, ensuring each node/link in the network is distinctly mapped.
- Users can load and merge custom charts via a newly introduced icon in the Results Manager window, with an option to manually merge saved custom charts.
- A new “Sum All” option has been added to the Chart Drop-Down Menu, allowing users to sum all time-series plots with commensurate units.
- Users can now compare multiple time-series datasets using bivariate statistics by selecting “Total Table” from the top-left drop-down.
- Additional Enhancements and Bug Fixes.
This work has been undertaken with the support of the Murray Darling Basin Authority through the Enhanced Environmental Water Delivery and Integrated River Modelling Uplift programs. It also includes SWP (Source work Program) with support from HMSC, which was set up under the supervision of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
