Our latest release, MUSICX is the most significant upgrade of MUSIC in a decade.

MUSICX has been re-designed and re-written into the same coding platform as Source. MUSICX maintains all the capability of MUSIC V6.3 but gives users additional functionality and the benefits of modern software architecture, making it easier to update the tool and incorporate new industry practices, knowledge, data and science.
MUSICX can be run as a stand alone tool or as a plugin to Source. If your focus is the urban context alone, the stand alone version allows you to continue to use MUSIC as you always have.
Integration with the Source platform gives MUSICX additional functionality and enhanced features, including:
- additional Rainfall-Runoff modelling options
- user plugins to replace in-built algorithms for rainfall-runoff, pollutant generation, treatment function, demand functions and more
- options to model other pollutants
- improved Graphic User Interface (GUI) for easy data input, tabular input/output, group edit and advanced graphics.
- Function Manager to support more complex model building
- powerful in-built Results Manager for data analysis and results interpretation.
A package for holistic water management
Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) requires a holistic approach to water quality and quantity, across all scales. By combining three of eWater’s tools; Source, MUSICX and Urban Developer, water managers have the means to design genuinely integrated water management solutions.
Designed to complement each other, MUSIC and Urban Developer were able to draw together information on water quantity (Urban Developer) and water quality (MUSIC) to develop IWRM solutions in urban areas. You can now link these models to Source catchment and river system models, giving you the tools to explore possible interactions and to identify and test IWRM options across catchment and local scales.
Transitioning to MUSICX
MUSICX is a major change to the software. We know that some of our community need time to learn the new features and transition to MUSICX. Join one of our specially designed MUSICX Refresher training courses to learn about the new features and how to make the change.
To ease the transition, MUSIC 6.3 remains available for use and eWater will continue to provide support and in-house training.

For now, MUSIC-link is now available in MUSICX.
