At eWater Group we support our people to grow in their professional careers through a variety of mentor and development opportunities.
A #shoutout to Chathura Gamage, Research Software Engineer, and Vandana Thakur, Software Tester, for completing the latest Australian Computer Society mentor program and gaining certification of completion and appreciation.
Vandana completed both the ACS mentee and mentor programs, which will support her professional development and that of other experts in the tech community. With her mentee program now completed, Vandana will continue as an ACS mentor. Congratulations!
“I am deeply honoured to receive this appreciation certificate for my role as a mentor and mentee. This recognition means a lot to me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of others,” Vandana said.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank ACS for this recognition. I am also thankful to eWater Group, especially my managers Jolie Baash (General Manager, eWater Solutions) and Navan Tirupathi (CTO) for encouraging these kinds of programs for the employees. Mentoring has been a rewarding journey, and I have learned as much from my mentee as they have from me. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication have been truly inspiring. I also want to express my gratitude to my mentor, who has guided and supported me throughout my journey. His wisdom, patience, and encouragement have been invaluable.”
“Being both a mentor and a mentee has given me a unique perspective on the importance of continuous learning and growth. It has reinforced the idea that we all have something to teach and something to learn, regardless of our experience or position. I look forward to continuing this journey of mutual growth and learning, and I am excited about future opportunities to mentor and be mentored,” Vandana said.
Congratulations to Chathura who also completed his mentor program with the ACS. As our Research Software Engineer, Chathura has brought a wealth of knowledge, skills and insights to eWater Group and recently completed his PhD in AI and Games at the Australian National University.
From Chathura: “The ACS Mentoring Program has been a valuable experience. Through insightful discussions with my mentor, Tom Worthington, I gained fresh perspectives on tackling challenges and seizing opportunities for professional growth. The program also provided a great opportunity for networking and building connections.”
“A huge thank you to Tom for his guidance and support throughout this journey. I’m grateful to ACS for this experience and to eWater Solutions for supporting professional development.”
Congratulations to both Vandana and Chathura on completing the latest ACS mentor program and we look forward to seeing you bring your learnings and insights to eWater Group.
