Dr Paradis Someth specialises in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering with 20 years of international and regional experience.
He joined eWater in 2018 as Principal Hydrologist, Mekong River Commission Secretariat in 2012 as Hydrologist, Water Utilisation Specialist, Acting Chief Hydrologist and Deputy Director of Technical Support Division, before that Lecturer/Researcher in Hydrology and Dean of Undergraduate Study at Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
His studies cover water balance analysis from plot-scale to basin-scale, irrigation and hydropower development, hydrological analysis and modelling of the Tonle Sap Lake and Mekong Basin. He is also interested in scientific data/information management, web-based river monitoring, basin development and planning.
He holds an Engineer Diploma in Rural Engineering from Cambodia/Belgium, Master’s degree and PhD in International Environmental and Agricultural Engineering from Japan.
