Maree Abood is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of eWater Group, bringing more than 22 years of senior and executive leadership experience across the New South Wales public sector.

She has extensive expertise in water management, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, critical infrastructure, resilience strategy, planning, and public policy. Maree is a strong advocate for evidence-informed decision-making and applies multidisciplinary approaches to address complex challenges and deliver sustainable social, economic, and environmental outcomes.

Throughout her career, Maree has led significant policy and regulatory reforms, working collaboratively across government, industry, and research to drive innovation and create lasting value. Her leadership is underpinned by a commitment to collaboration, authenticity, and delivering positive impact.

Maree’s contributions to the water sector have been widely recognised. She was awarded the Australian Water Association’s 2023 NSW Legend of Water and received the 2016 NSW Premier’s Award for Excellence in Public Service.

Stephen Cory is Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary of eWater Limited and has been with the organisation between 2017 and 2025 before returning in later 2026.

With more than 20 years of experience in financial control, quality assurance, and management systems, Stephen has held a range of senior executive and management positions across corporate services, financial control, venue management, and vocational education and training within the not-for-profit sector and the Australian Public Service.

Stephen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), and has a Bachelor of Commerce from James Cook University, Cairns Campus.
