Water challenges are growing in complexity. Climate change, population growth and infrastructure pressures are amongst the challenges facing our communities and environments now and in the future.
Investing in emerging leaders means we are investing in skilled, forward-thinking professionals equipped with the tools and the confidence to address future challenges, whether that’s through innovation pathways or building resilience.
eWater Group was proud to sponsor the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust (PCT) 2025 Leadership Graduation Program Dinner as an Ethics in Leadership Partner alongside the Murray Darling Basin Authority.

For PCT, the Ethics in Leadership Partners program focuses on speaking truth to power – a quality that Peter Cullen himself was known for, along with his exceptional listening skills and his judicious and ethical use of his voice to ‘speak for the rivers’.
This year’s PCT Leadership Graduation Dinner was a monumental one. It celebrates 15 years of transformative leadership development opportunities for managers, engineers, scientists, communicators, policy makers and leaders in the water and environmental sector.
At eWater, we support our people to grow in their professional careers through a variety of mentor and development opportunities. These activities include our partnership with the Peter Cullen Trust Leadership Program, the Australian Computer Society, and much more.
Michael Wilson, Group CEO, who attended the Melbourne event said “I knew Peter Cullen well when I was a young environment policy adviser. Peter would regularly wander into the office and engage people in conversation about the water management challenges of the day, and especially the wicked problems thrown up by the conflicts between science, economics and politics. From the Minister to the most junior official, he relished the opportunity to translate and distil evidence-based analysis into persuasive, digestible and practical policy ideas.”
“Peter’s skills with language and his ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply were exceptional, as was his genuine interest in people and how people learn and develop a passion for subject matter. Peter was, without exception, generous with his time and his sharing of knowledge, but his greatest passion and concern was for the next generation of water leaders and how they would be encouraged, resourced and supported.”
“Peter’s passion and his genius are so well commemorated in the work of the PCT, and he would be immensely proud today to see that his efforts live on in ever-mounting generations of water leaders working in every corner of the water policy and management sector.”
“eWater is proud to join these efforts and is so fortunate to have PCT fellows as part of our own wonderful team. Programs run by the PCT continue to transform the careers and lives of emerging water leaders, who go on to multiply their impacts through working with others in organisations and movements in Australia and across the globe.”
Our people are central to everything we do at eWater Group. They play a critical role in our commitment to the pursuit in the sustainable and climate resilient management of water in Australia and beyond through partnerships and the provision of trusted and innovative expertise and tools.

Our ongoing commitment to support our people in their professional development enables our organisation to continue to do our work.
eWater Group proudly congratulates the Peter Cullen Trust on the 15th anniversary of its Leadership Program – a significant milestone in shaping and strengthening Australia’s water and environmental leadership.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the 2025 Leadership Program Graduates on successfully completing this transformative journey. Their dedication, insight, and leadership potential inspire confidence in the future of our sector. We look forward to witnessing the impact they will have as they lead the way in sustainable water and environmental management.
